These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of ceidhub.org and your participation in programmes, events, tours, co-working and other services offered by CEID Hub (Climate Emerge Innovation Development Solutions Hub, “CEID Hub”, “we”, “us”). By using the website or our services you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
1. About us
CEID Hub is a climate engagement and innovation hub based at 6 Ekiti Close, Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. We deliver green-skills training, enterprise incubation, conservation leadership and circular-economy education, and run a demonstration hub open to visitors.
2. Using the website
- You may use the website for lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes.
- You must not misuse it, including by attempting unauthorised access, introducing malware, scraping content at scale, or submitting false, offensive or spam content through our forms.
- We try to keep information accurate and current, but programme dates, fees, eligibility and availability can change. Content on the site is general information, not professional advice.
- We may update, suspend or withdraw any part of the website without notice.
3. Applications and programmes
- Submitting an application does not guarantee a place. Selection is at our discretion and based on each programme’s published criteria and available capacity.
- You confirm that the information you give us is true and complete. We may withdraw an offer or place if it is not.
- Participants must follow programme rules, the instructions of facilitators, and our code of conduct, which requires respectful behaviour towards staff, participants, partners and host communities. We may remove anyone whose conduct is unsafe, discriminatory or disruptive.
- Certificates are awarded only when completion and assessment requirements are met.
- Starter kits, equipment and materials provided through a programme are given on the terms explained at the time. Where a kit is issued to support a business or livelihood, it must be used for that purpose.
- Specific programmes, partnerships or funding may come with their own agreement. If so, that agreement applies alongside these Terms and takes priority where the two differ.
4. Hub visits, events and co-working
- The hub is a working site with livestock, aquaculture, biogas, solar and farming systems. Visitors must follow safety instructions and stay with their guide in operational areas. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
- Co-working desks are provided subject to availability, any booking terms we give you, and fair use of shared facilities and power.
- We may reschedule or cancel events and tours because of weather, safety or circumstances outside our control. Where fees were paid we will offer a new date or a refund.
- We may photograph or film activities for communications and reporting. Let a staff member know if you do not wish to be featured.
5. Donations
- Donations are voluntary. You can give online through Paystack, our payment provider, or by bank transfer to the account published on our Donate page.
- Online donations are processed securely by Paystack and are also subject to Paystack’s terms. CEID Hub does not see or store your full card details. Your bank or card issuer may charge its own fees, and a Paystack receipt is sent to the email you provide.
- For bank transfers, please check the account details carefully before sending. We are not responsible for transfers made to incorrect accounts.
- Donations are generally non-refundable. If you made a mistake, for example a duplicate or wrong amount, contact us within 14 days with your payment reference and we will review your request in good faith. Approved refunds of online donations are returned to the original payment method through Paystack.
- We will never ask for your card PIN, OTP or password by phone, email or WhatsApp. If anyone does, do not share it and let us know.
- We use donations to fund our charitable and programme work as described on the site. Where a donation is restricted to a specific purpose by written agreement, we will honour that restriction.
6. Intellectual property
The CEID Hub name, logo, website design, text, photographs, videos, training materials and curricula are owned by or licensed to CEID Hub. You may view, download and share content for personal, non-commercial and educational purposes with credit to CEID Hub. You may not reproduce, sell or adapt it for commercial purposes without our written permission.
Ideas and businesses you bring to our incubation programmes remain yours, unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
7. Content you send us
If you send us testimonials, photos, stories or other content, you confirm you have the right to share it and grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it for our communications and reporting, with credit where appropriate. You can ask us to stop using it in future materials at any time.
8. Third-party links and services
The website links to third-party services such as Paystack, WhatsApp, Google Maps, social media and partner websites. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CEID Hub is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business or data, arising from your use of the website or reliance on its content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Business outcomes after training or incubation depend on many factors and are not guaranteed.
10. Indemnity
You agree to compensate CEID Hub for losses reasonably incurred because of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the website or our facilities.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle personal data and cookies.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date shows the current version. Continuing to use the website after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We will always try to resolve disagreements informally first. If that fails, the courts of Oyo State, Nigeria have jurisdiction.
