Nigeria’s electric mobility and energy storage sectors are growing faster than the technical workforce behind them. Cohort 8 of our Battery Pack Design and Manufacturing training exists to close that gap, and it is built the way every GreenVET track is built: you do not study how it works, you build it.
The programme opens with six weeks of structured virtual sessions covering cell chemistry, pack architecture, the battery management system, thermal behaviour, safety and testing protocols. Facilitators come from industry rather than a lecture hall, and each session ends with an assignment you complete on your own bench.
The training closes with a three-day practical finale on the hub in Bodija. Participants spot-weld, wire and configure their own packs, run capacity and safety tests, then present a finished unit for assessment. The finale ends with a certificate presentation and the handover of personal starter kits so learning continues after everyone goes home.
Cohort 8 is delivered with the same partners behind previous editions, and places are limited because every participant works on their own kit rather than sharing a bench.
