CEID Hub successfully concluded its Battery Pack Design and Manufacturing Training in March 2026 with a three-day Grand Finale, bringing participants together for intensive, hands-on learning in battery pack assembly, testing, and safety.
A major highlight of the grand finale was a press briefing attended by Dr. Funmilayo Adesina, representing the Oyo State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, and Dr. Olushola Fadairo, Director of the Centre for Sustainable Development (CESDEV), University of Ibadan.
Implemented in partnership with Innovate UK, Celloop, Decibel Labs, and ThinkClock, the training was designed to build local capacity in battery technology, promote clean energy innovation, and open pathways for young Nigerians in the rapidly growing electric mobility and energy storage sectors.
Following a series of virtual learning sessions, participants completed practical sessions in battery pack design, assembly, and testing, and graduated with personal starter kits to support their continued learning and practice. The programme’s successful conclusion represents a significant milestone in CEID Hub’s mission to develop green skills, support clean energy innovation, and create sustainable livelihoods for Africa’s youth.
