You run the living lab: the Black Soldier Fly facility, the aquaculture unit, the greenhouse and organic garden, and the biogas digester — and you keep the loop between them closed and productive.
What you'll do
- Own daily operations across BSF, aquaculture, greenhouse, garden and biogas units.
- Keep production records for feed, fish, produce and gas output, and report monthly.
- Maintain input quality and biosecurity across the organic waste stream.
- Host trainees and demonstrate each unit during GreenVET tracks and hub tours.
- Plan seasonal cycles and maintenance schedules for equipment and stock.
What we're looking for
- Practical experience managing an agricultural or aquaculture operation.
- Working knowledge of at least two of: BSF farming, aquaculture, protected cropping, biogas.
- Record-keeping discipline — the numbers go into published reports.
- Happy teaching; trainees are on site most weeks.
