In 2024, CEID Hub stepped boldly from vision into action.

We strengthened our role as a youth-focused climate innovation hub — empowering young people with practical green skills, supporting sustainable entrepreneurship, and demonstrating circular economy solutions in practice. Through strategic partnerships, hands-on technical training, innovation programmes and community engagement, we equipped emerging climate leaders with the knowledge, resources and opportunities to drive sustainable development across Nigeria.

Key achievements

Delivered practical training in sustainable agriculture, renewable energy and circular economy — building skills with real-world application.
Expanded youth access to climate innovation, mentorship and green entrepreneurship opportunities across Nigeria.
Co-hosted the inaugural Naija Youth Sustainability Forum, convening over 300 young sustainability leaders in one space.
Strengthened Nigeria's green entrepreneurship ecosystem through strategic partnerships and accelerator programmes.
Established CEID Hub as a living demonstration centre for the circular economy — showcasing greenhouse farming, aquaculture, Black Soldier Fly farming, biogas technology and renewable energy systems.
Advanced food security through climate-smart agriculture and the launch of the Garden in a Box Africa (GarbA) initiative.

In 2025, CEID Hub significantly expanded its reach.

We empowered young people, startups and communities with practical skills in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, circular economy, biodiversity conservation and green entrepreneurship. Through strategic partnerships and hands-on learning experiences, we equipped participants with the technical knowledge, entrepreneurial capacity and resources to drive meaningful climate action across Nigeria.

Our programmes strengthened livelihoods, improved household food security, supported early-stage innovation, and inspired a new generation of climate leaders — proof that the green economy we are building is already changing lives.

Key achievements

Trained over 250 women and youth in lithium-ion battery pack design, manufacturing, recycling and clean energy entrepreneurship across Oyo, Osun and Lagos States.
Equipped 51 young agripreneurs from 15 Local Government Areas in Oyo State with innovative seed yam production and agribusiness skills.
Built local capacity in circular economy through Black Soldier Fly farming training, and launched a six-month internship programme.
Supported 240 households in Nasarawa State with Garden in a Box Africa (GarbA) home gardening kits to improve food security and nutrition.
Guided 6 early-stage startups through the iHatch Incubation Programme — with GarbA emerging among the Top 12 startups nationally.
Delivered biodiversity leadership training and community regeneration activities, including indigenous tree planting across Oyo State.
Strengthened partnerships with Innovate UK, IITA, BOP Inc., GAIN, NITDA, JICA and ONDI to scale youth-focused climate innovation.
