Climate Leadership Innovation Fellowship (CLIF)

The Climate Leadership Innovation Fellowship (CLIF) is an immersive, annual fellowship program designed for out-of-school leavers, young professionals, and green business innovators in Nigeria and across Africa. This cohort-based fellowship aims to equip participants with the skills, knowledge, and network necessary to drive impactful climate action and innovation.

CLIF aims to nurture and empower the next generation of climate leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs who will drive transformational change and sustainability across Africa and beyond.

We aim to raise the next generation of climate innovation leaders across Africa.

By the end of the fellowship, participants will have developed and proposed innovative solutions to real-world climate challenges in their communities. They will also be introduced to the Climate Innovation School Africa (CISA), further expanding their opportunities for growth and impact.

Key Features

Engagement with Industry Experts and Leaders
Fellows will have the opportunity to interact with and learn from leading professionals in various sectors, including introduction to climate change, circular economy, biodiversity, renewable energy, food systems, waste management, policy formulation, climate finance and sustainable development.
Participants will gain access to relevant technologies, comprehensive materials, and resources that cover a wide range of climate-related topics.

The fellowship covers innovations across health, food systems, waste management, digital applications, fashion, technology, e-mobility, and more.

Fellows will work with real-world data, use cases, and the latest research to inform their projects and solutions.

Training in HCD principles and climate advocacy will empower fellows to create user-centric and impactful solutions.

Explore nature-inspired solutions and sustainable business models for the circular economy.

The fellowship provides ample networking opportunities, fostering connections with peers, mentors, and industry leaders.

Emphasizing a collaborative learning approach, fellows will engage in peer-to-peer learning and receive guidance from experienced mentors.

Upon completion, participants will receive certificates and recognition for their achievements.
